Durella is the native grape from the Monti Lessini situated at the bottom of the Italian Alps. Its name derives from the toughness of its skin and from the generally high acidity of its wine which ensures both its longevity and makes it ideal for sparkling wine production. Produced using the Italian or Charmat Method which utilises a secondary fermentation in steel pressure fermenters.
Straw yellow in colour it is a fruit rich, fragrant wine with tangy crispiness and long lingering aromas of elderflower and hawthorn together with citrus and yellow grapefruit. Durello sparkling wine is tasty and pleasurable with green apple and citrus on the palate, a fine perlage and long lasting finish.
Food Pairing: Ideal either as an aperitif or can be enjoyed with any course.
