Our personal culinary journey begins in Yorkshire in the late 1990s. One of our founders was working in a small Italian restaurant when he realised the untapped potential of a wood-fired oven. He realised how such an oven can produce flavoursome pizzas enriched with the aroma of fire wood. This is when it struck him, wood-fire ovens are the only way to cook a pizza!
Driven by his passion for wood-fired pizzas, he started constructing clay ovens in his backyard. This led to the development of portable clay ovens which could be used by all. From there the Outi Pizza journey began! The secret to cooking the perfect pizza is to cook it continuously under high heat and to have a pizza stone at very high temperature. Using this method, crispy golden bases can be made, unlike the soggy bases found in some well-known high street pizzerias!

Why choose our pizza oven?
Our unique design will ensure that the pizza stone reaches a higher temperature faster and maintains the heat for longer, which means lower fuel consumption. Our design means heat remains constant, which is typically lacking in wood-fired ovens. The ideal cooking temperatures of between 370 – 430°C in reached within twenty minutes.
We have paid homage to the classic design and performance of pizza ovens with a traditional flue design. The flue is the shaft found within the oven which functions to retain the oven’s heat while eliminating the smoke produced from the fire through the chimney. In the absence of a flue, heat will also get expelled from the chimney causing a reduction in the internal temperature and heightened fuel consumption.
